Situated adjacent to the renowned Yellow Mountain Scenic Area, it stands as the most extensive gorge at the mountain's base. Spanning approximately 20 kilometers, the valley is celebrated for its over a hundred colorful pools, each unique in shape and size. These pools transform in hue with the shifting interplay of surrounding scenery, sunlight angles, and intensity, creating a mesmerizing spectacle akin to scattered emerald gems, hence the name Emerald Valley. The valley's stunning scenery attracted the makers of the Academy Award-winning film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and portions of the movie were filmed on location in Emerald Valley.
